“Every act of kindness grows the spirit and strengthens the soul” – Unknown

Another year in the books! And what a year it has been. Beginning in January of this year our Santa’s Little Hackers team was brainstorming how we could make this year even better than 2015. We knew our organization was growing and we would have many more toy requests coming in from all over the country (and even the world)! When we opened toy requests this year we received over 1,000 requests from families, therapists, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and teachers asking for their loved one to receive an accessible toy. We had a big task ahead but we knew with the community surrounding us we could do it.

Our main event this year was held at The Conference Center at Adams 12. It was a cold morning but over 300 volunteers came out to help adapt toys and make fun accessible for all. In 5 short hours our volunteers were able to adapt 620 toys! This was the most toys we have EVER beenable to make in this short amount of time.

To all of our volunteers – you rock! Thank you for volunteering your time, giving your energy, and bringing so much positivity to this day. You made the event a success and go so smoothly.

To everyone who donated toys, money, and supplies for the event – none of this would have been possible without your generosity. Because of you we received enough toys to fulfill many of the requests AND pay for the toys to get shipped out across the country. It is incredible to have so many of you donate unselfishly to a cause that brings so much joy to families during the holidays.

To Adams 12 - A huge thank you for letting us borrow your facility, students, and faculty for the event. The space was incredible and exactly what we needed. Your students were a huge help in making the event a success.

Finally- a big thank you to the individuals and families who make this organization worth doing. Your kind requests, stories, pictures, and videos you share with us make Santa’s Little Hackers the organization we wanted it to be: a group making fun accessible for everyone.

Happy Holidays to All! The Santa’s Little Hackers team
